OCULUS, Inc. offers customers the chance to prove their knowledge on the high-precision instruments Pentacam® and Keratograph 5M. Free webinars will be hosted by Craig Fitch, Product Specialist for OCULUS, Inc. and experienced trainer on Ophthalmic devices.

During the interactive live webinars, all attendees get the opportunity to ask questions and raise their level of knowledge. The webinars are followed by a quiz which is optional but the only chance for an OCULUS certificate - if all questions are answered correctly.

The Keratograph certification course will cover basic and advanced operation of the system, standard routine maintenance procedures to be done on a daily basis, software settings for personalized map viewing and in depth map review related to topography, dry eye, anterior imaging and contact lens fitting with a quiz of questions at the end. The quiz is optional, but to receive the certification document you must complete all the questions. The quiz will be emailed to your provided email address at registration and the certification document will be mailed to your address provided at registration.

OCULUS, Inc. would like to thank all customers who visited our booth at ASCRS 2014 in Boston for a successful show. This year we created a special customer care corner to serve the existing customers. Many stopped by to receive a free software update, ask technical or clinical questions. The “Meet the Experts session” with world-class experts such as Dr. Jack Holladay and MD, Dr. Michael W. Belin, MD, Dr. Marguerite McDonald, MD, Dr. Penny Asbell, MD, Dr. William Trattler, MD and Dr. John Shammas, MD was well attended. The specialists were available with prior appointment to answer clinical questions or review challenging cases together with the OCULUS customers.

In addition to the popular Pentacam^® for anterior segment analysis and the Keratograph 5M for Dry Eye analysis, the OCULUS Corvis^® STL received a lot of attention from the attendees. The revolutionary non-contact tonometer records the reaction of the cornea to a defined air pulse with an innovative high-speed Scheimpflug-camera that takes over 4 300 images per second.

The exciting city of New Orleans hosted the 117th annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. According to the pre-registration figures, over 20,000 domestic and international physicians, health professionals and exhibitors attended the meeting.

OCULUS Inc. and OCULUS Surgical Inc. actively participated at the AAO annual meeting by exhibiting innovative advanced technologies and sponsoring educational events.

At OCULUS Inc., we would like our customers to utilize their diagnostic instruments to the fullest capacity. To accomplish this goal, on Friday night, OCULUS Inc. sponsored the Pentacam® Workshop to provide our customers with more information on integrating the OCULUS Pentacam® into an ophthalmic practice. On Sunday morning, OCULUS hosted a breakfast seminar with Prof. Michael W. Belin, MD and Dr. Marguerite McDonald, MD. At the breakfast seminar, the clinical applications of the OCULUS Pentacam® for refractive and cataract surgery and OCULUS Keratograph 5M applications for Dry Eye diagnosis were discussed.

At the booth speakers’ corner, in addition to many interesting lectures about the OCULUS Pentacam®, Dr. Penny Asbell, M.D. introduced the concept of “The two minute Dry Eye exam with the Keratograph 5M” and emphasized the reasons to give special attention t the Dry Eye patients. Dr Cynthia Roberts, PhD. discussed “The Next Generation of Corneal Biomechanical Assessment” with the OCULUS Corvis ST*. To watch the recorded booth speakers lectures, please visit www.oculus.tv.
